DO YOU WATCH HER CHEEK CARESS THE SHEET?
......
Do you gaze down upon her
from way above?
Do you reach out but fear to
touch?
Do her murmurs rise and fall
with breath?
Does her sweet face show any
fear of death?
Do you long to place your ear
upon her breast?
Do you loathe to see her
there for all the rest?
Does she do nothing at your
behest?
Does her lithe body ask to be
smelt?
Is this as bad as you have
ever felt?
Do you wish to gently stroke
her dreaming head?
Does she float serenely across that strange bed?
Do you honestly wish that she
were dead?
Do you?
Do you?
….perceive her converse in distant
reverie notice her eyelids flutter oh so slightly smell her sheets scented in stale
sweat see the sheen glow upon her skin sense it all grow slightly damp drift
down and smother her smell of times gone by long to smother the beating of her
heart….
Do you yearn to?
Does she?
